5 Days Of British Vogue: Burberry Beauty
On Friday evening, I watched a Zoom interview with British Contributing Beauty Editor Kathleen Baird-Murray, Vogue Digital Beauty Editor Hannah Coates and Burberry Global Beauty Director Isamaya Ffrench. It was part of #5DaysOfVogueBeauty, an action-packed digital festival that saw the most influential high-end beauty brands share their top beauty tips. Usually £10 a ticket, my ticket was gifted as I signed up to be a Vogue Beauty Insider a few weeks back. I was delighted to get a ticket to the event and after taking part, if I’d paid £10 I would have been more than satisfied with its value for money!
Isamaya Ffrench, Global Director of Burberry Beauty
If you read regularly, you’ll know that I’m a huge Burberry fan. I love Burberry Beauty too, some of the best lipsticks and lipglosses I’ve ever owned have been Burberry buys! I have to confess though, I didn’t know much about Isamaya before I took part in this event. She’s the woman responsible for some of the most iconic Vogue covers of recent years including the famous ‘Truth” cover featuring Rihanna and after listening to her talk for an hour, she’s now my latest girl crush!
Starting off as a children’s facepainter, her path to becoming an MUA was completely accidental. Loving what she could create with paint on skin gave her the confidence experiment with make-up, and the rest was history. During the talk, the team introduced us to the all new Burberry Essentials Glow Palette, £62, which has everything you could ever need for your daily routine in one beautiful, handy place. Available for Fair to Medium Skin and in a second palette for Medium to Dark Skin, the team showed us how to do a subtle contour and how to apply parts of the palette to achieve different looks. I ordered myself a palette, so I’ll be sure to update you on it when it arrives!!
Isamaya then showed us the perfect feline eye-look, a look I’ve spent my whole life trying to create, and one which she perfected in minutes!! I can’t wait to get a new eye-liner and give it a try!
Thank you British Vogue, I loved this event so much!
Until Next Time,
