Hello you lovely people! After missing last week (sorry!), I’m back with another edition of FOOMA, and another special guest wishlist picker too! I’ve really enjoyed writing these posts over the last eight weeks but as there aren’t always Fashionable Objects to add to my list, after this week FOOMA will end temporarily, to give me more time to think of those pieces of dreams that I really, really want (and to open up some space for some other features too!). So without further ado, here is FOOMA: Fashionable Objects Of My Affection Week 7, featuring some dreamy shoes, a more functional way of carrying stuff and a double pick from a lovely guest! Enjoy!
FOOMA #1: J’Adior Ballerina Flats in Nude Technical Canvas
Those eagle-eyed of you will know that I already have a version of these shoes. And you’d be right, I got married in technical canvas J’adior heels in black and I still love them now as much as I did on my wedding day! I always break them out for special evenings and they are everything you’d want from an expensive shoe; super-comfortable and super stylish! But as they’re heels and I don’t wear heels everyday, I’ve fallen in love with these shoes for more practical everyday wear. Pair them with a cute jacket and jeans and they’d really finish off an outfit. Dior has stolen my heart once again!
FOOMA #2: Burberry Rucksack in Blush, £600 (sale)
I never thought I’d use a Burberry Rucksack, even though I’ve been admiring them from afar for such a long time. Then lockdown hit, and my most used bag became my Sienna Jones Primrose Hill Bucket bag (which can be worn three ways, and I’ve been wearing it as a rucksack!). So it made me think about investing in a more expensive one for my next handbag purchase. I love this small one in blush pink, but I think if I was investing, I might choose something a little more classic. However, it is very dreamy!
FOOMA #3: Saint Laurent YSL Silver brooch, £260
I LOVE this brooch. I recently bought a black tuxedo dress to wear on holiday, and this would complete the look beautifully (whilst paying homage to the man who created the women’s smoking tuxedo!). I am such a brooch girl and I can’t resist them, so this would be a dreamy addition to my growing collection! Love love love it!
FOOMA: Fashionable Objects Of My Affection Week 7 Guest Pick
Now to my favourite part, you’ve seen my wishlist for this week, and now we’re about to visit the wishlist of another of my favourite ladies. This week, it’s my Instagram friend Kat who you can find at @thehomeofkat. We first bonded over a love of NYC, and in particular the Kimpton Hotel Eventi, which we both stayed at on our separate trips there. Kat was so lovely when I was in New York, she followed my wedding journey and she sent me tips of places that I loved and places that she had visited. We have many shared interests, which is why I thought she’d be perfect for this feature! So for dreamy interiors and fashionable goodies, be sure to give her account a follow! Kat couldn’t choose between her two wishlist pieces, so I’ve decided to feature them both, starting with this:
Guest pick no1: The Balenciaga Classic City M Leather Tote, £1390 @ Farfetch
Kat’s first choice was this Balenciaga beauty, which sounds like it was ‘the one that got away’ after she nearly chose it for a special birthday, but ended up opting for a classic Mulberry Bayswater instead. She says it’s the handbag that she always thinks about, so who knows? Maybe one day she’ll be twirling this around on her arm! It’s a real thing of beauty!
Guest pick no2: Louis Vuitton Nice BB Vanity Case £760
I love this piece; classic, elegant, enviable and a great second pick by Kat. It’s one that she said will be a definite purchase to add to her amazing and growing Louis Vuitton luggage collection. It’s an excellent choice and one piece that I’d love to own too!
Thanks so much to Kat for these wonderful picks, and thanks to those of you that took the time to read this!
