Style Post: My Week Off In Outfits

It’s been a refreshing change to have a week off work this week (this is also the reason for my blog hiatus last Sunday-sorry you lovely people!). It’s been such a good week, where I’ve been up to some really amazing things, so I thought to continue on with my curated wardrobe series, I’d describe my week in outfit posts!

The first day of my holidays was busy! It involved lots of running, watching football, trips to the train station and a few dog walks. On the evening, I went for tea with my Dad, so changed out of my dog walking attire for something a little dressier. It was a great start to the holidays!

Monday was quite a chilled out day! I drove to the beautiful Bowes Museum to visit my friend Alison for a coffee and to have a wander around the museum. Whilst there, I just had to pop into the Fashion and Textiles gallery and couldn’t resist photographing the beautiful Dior piece by Maria Grazia Chiuri, acquired by the museum for the wonderful Catwalking Exhibition. I always feel super cultured after a day at the Museum!

Relaxed casual for a trip to the museum

It was chilled outfit vibes for my car journey with my Levi’s PSG jacket (old), teamed with a Breton top from And Other Stories, Vivienne Westwood Sunglasses (old, TK Maxx) and my Burberry scarf (what else?!). Teamed with jeans and trainers, it was the perfect look for a chilled-out day.

On Tuesday, I got my hair highlighted, so started the day in my denim jacket and casual trousers again.

New blonder do!

On the afternoon, I had to pick up my Mam from the train station, but was surprised with a visit from my lovely bestie, so was so glad I’d got changed before meeting up with her! I threw on my Marks and Spencer bomber jacket andh Zara jeans, perfect for being sat nattering over coffee and sharing a brownie!

Wednesday was an away day, my Mister and I took a trip to Edinburgh. The weather was AWFUL but we didn’t let that dampen our spirits, or our style!

Lunch at The Dome

Because we were going to The Dome for lunch, planning to have drinks in the afternoon and visiting some beautiful shops, I decided to smarten up my look, by pairing my new beloved Versace-style Primark shirt with my Armani Jeans and my TB Burberry belt. Throwing a big winter coat over the top, meant my outfit (and hair!) was perfectly protected from the wintry weather! My Mister wore his Fred Perry Lambswool Jumper and his favourite Boss jeans.

It was a really fun day and also the first day where we actually started to set some concrete plans for our upcoming summer wedding! Things just got real and super exciting!

Thursday was quite a chilled out day, where we had a late lunch and then popped out to purchase our wedding bands (eeeek!) so there wasn’t really a stand-out outfit to report. Friday was a different matter though; we decided to really glam up and visit The Rabbit Hole, Durham, for amazing oriental food and amazing cocktails. The Rabbit Hole is like a 1920s Speakeasy, with live jazz and cool interiors; it was such a fun evening out and one I’d definitely recommend!

I teamed my favourite H ‘n’ M blazer, with my oversized, Gucci-inspired shirt, Mango trousers and H ‘n’ M shoes. I felt really glam, even though all I did was shop my wardrobe!! We had the best time!

Waiting for our taxi home, we’d had such a giggle!

Weekend Vibes

No outfit to report on Saturday; I had a coffee with my Mam and her friends, then spent the rest of the day selling my life on eBay! On Sunday, we met my Mister’s family for lunch at The Church Mouse, my favourite place for Sunday lunch! My outfit was smart/casual; I teamed my ‘It’s Reigning Women’ Boden t-shirt with navy H ‘n’ M trousers and my Primark military jacket.

You may be able to spot my TB belt again too, I just can’t get enough of it!

The Verdict: Style Post: My Week Off In Outfits

I really enjoyed putting some outfits together for different occasions, just by shopping my wardrobe! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not adverse to shopping for new clothes, but I love the challenge of putting stuff together by using what I already have! My favourite outfit of the week was probably my choice for The Rabbit Hole, I really love my striped blazer!

What are your favourite outfits at the moment? Drop me some links, I’d love to see!

Until next time,
