Lip Service Givenchy Rouge Interdit
I wouldn’t say I’m a beauty freak in any way, shape or form, but I love high-end beauty. I’m a bit of an English Rose I guess, I don’t ever wear tan, or brows or anything of that ilk, but I do love makeup. Being a longtime lover of Dior, Chanel and Burberry (naturally!) beauty collections, I don’t often stray away from what I like and what I know works for me. However, I’m always up for trying something new, and when my friend Krissi bought me a beautiful Givenchy lipstick for my birthday, I couldn’t wait to try it out! So here it is, Lip Service Givenchy Rouge Interdit, my review of this beautiful product.
Keeping Up Appearances
It’s hard to deny it, Givenchy Rouge Interdit is a thing of beauty. From its sleek black casing trimmed with ribbon, to the marbling of the lipstick, it’s literal makeup seduction. Stunningly packaged, it almost seemed too perfect to use! I settled on saving it for a special occasion, and gave it it’s first outing when I went for birthday drinks with my Mister.
Although the marbling of the lipstick is simply for show, it’s probably my favourite part! Giving an air of sophistication and class, the marbling sets it apart from other high-end lipsticks in terms of appearance. But how does it score for wearability?
Is it simply lip-service or does it stay put?
This was me with lipstick applied before I left for my birthday afternoon food and drinks with my Mister. Never knowing how it’ll go with red lipstick, I was pleasantly surprised! I only had to reapply once after food and it didn’t transfer much onto glasses etc. I was really impressed with it’s longevity and came home after a few hours with pretty much the same coverage! It wasn’t drying at all on the lips either which is always a plus point!
The Verdict: Would you buy again?
I honestly would buy this beautiful lipstick again, I absolutely love it! Stunningly packaged, beautifully finished and perfect staying power; what more could you want from a lipstick? It’s now the leader of the pack when it comes to my favourite evening lip!
For anyone that may be thinking about trying and buying, my lipstick is shade 25, Marbre Red (also known as made-to-measure red) and is available online at Givenchy.
So there you have it, buy Givenchy lipstick for the win!
That’s enough lip service for now,
Until next time,
