Probably most unsurprisingly, one of my favourite things to do when I go to London is to visit Burberry’s Regent Street Store. There’s something so special about 121 Regent Street and for a girl that loves Burberry as much as I, a trip to London just wouldn’t be the same without it! For all Burberry lovers, visiting the Regent Street flagship is a must and whether you’re going there to browse, or to shop, I’d recommend booking a table at the fabulous Thomas’ Café as part of your visit (the coffee is the best I’ve ever tasted!). For breakfast, afternoon tea, cake and a coffee, or an amazing meal, you can’t beat a bite at Burberry! There’s no denying it Thomas’ Café: A Burberry Girl’s Dream is the perfect way to sum up this perfect place, and here’s why…
Breakfast or Brunch The Burberry Way
My most recent trip to the Thomas’ Cafe was in December 2018, for a spot of breakfast with my Mister before we hit the shops (a good breakfast being an essential part of any major shopping trip!). I first visited Thomas’ for breakfast during my 30th birthday weekend a few years back, and memories of it’s deliciousness have stayed with me ever since. We knew this would be the perfect place to visit again and my poached eggs and avocado smash didn’t fail to disappoint (my Mister assures me his breakfast was amazing too!)! We also ordered a side of crumpets, straight from the Aga which were also sensational! My velvety cappuccino however was definitely the highlight of my breakfast; it was super-smooth, I could’ve drank multiple cups!!
Afternoon Tea at Burberry is perfection
If you’re not visiting for breakfast, it’s always worth going to Thomas’s for afternoon tea. I’ve had the Burberry afternoon tea experience twice now and both visits were exceptional. Priced at the time at around £36 per person, afternoon tea comes complete with fresh finger sandwiches, scones or crumpets straight from the Aga (complete with the cutest branded Burberry jam!), a selection of handmade cakes and the most delicious darjeeling you’ve ever tasted! We loved our visit so much that we even bought a little see-through teapot and some darjeeling from Whittard’s of Chelsea to remind us of our lovely experience!
Burberry, Regent Street is simply stunning
Yes, if you love Burberry like me, you’ll be bowled over by how beautiful 121 Regent Street always is. From Christmas themed windows during the festive period, to exhibition-like displays of the latest collections, whatever the time of year, there’s always something to see at Burberry (and the staff are super-friendly too!). My Christmas visit saw fir trees all around the store! Burberry is always a sight for sore eyes!
Warning! You’ll probably want to buy everything…
This isn’t always a bad thing. Everything I’ve ever bought from Burberry has always been amazing quality! But visiting 121 Regent Street always manages to seduce me into buying something (or adding 20 things to my wishlist!). If you’re lusting after a Burberry piece, even if it’s just make-up or a fragrance, it’s definitely worth visiting Regent Street. I’m yet to have a bad experience and I keep going back from more. So whether splurging out for a trench coat and simply meeting a friend for a coffee and a cake, if you’re in London, be sure to add 121 Regent Street to your shopping list, you won’t regret it!
Until next time, Kay x
